Eric Wilkie, MS, CFRE
As Executive Director, Eric provides leadership and direct oversight of the operations and strategy of the FM Area Foundation. He works with donors and their advisors, as well as nonprofits to encourage greater philanthropy in the region. Eric grew up in rural northeastern North Dakota and today resides in Dilworth, Minnesota, with his wife and four children. Eric received his undergraduate degree in Social Studies/Health Education from MSUM and graduate degree in Strategic Leadership from the University of Mary–Fargo.
Eric has been a part of the Fargo-Moorhead community since 1997 and has been working in the nonprofit field for 20 years. Eric earned his Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certificate in 2017. CFRE certification is the only accredited certification for fundraising professionals and is recognized as the global standard for fundraising professionalism. Prior to joining the FM Area Foundation, Eric held leadership positions at prominent nonprofits in our region, including the Anne Carlsen Center, Oak Grove Lutheran School and the Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch.
