Nonprofit Day Promotes Work Of Nonprofit Sector

Nonprofit Day is Sunday, Oct. 11, from noon to 6 p.m. at West Acres. Nonprofit Day gives community members an opportunity to learn about local nonprofits and the impact they have in our community. More than 40 organizations will have displays throughout West Acres.

Nonprofit Day is an annual event organized by the FM Area Foundation to increase awareness of the programs and services provided by the area’s nonprofit sector. Organizations of all types and sizes will be represented.

“We are grateful to West Acres for providing the space for this event every year, which helps promote the work of the nonprofits,” Tim Beaton, FM Area Foundation Executive Director, said. “Nonprofit organizations have minimal marketing and promotional resources, so this event gives the nonprofits exposure to a broader audience at no cost.”
