With St. Patrick’s Day right around the corner and the old sentiment “Luck ‘O The Irish,” I came across an article talking about where success originates. Is it luck…serendipity…or hard work? Quite the question to ponder when one looks back on where you’ve been.
I feel so fortunate to be a part of the FM Area Foundation. This organization is the largest and oldest community foundation in our region.
Started in 1960, your local community foundation has infused over $80 million into this community and other charities doing vital work to improve the world. Is it luck that made that happen, or maybe it’s just serendipitous that such an organization has thrived for so long? I would argue that the FM Area Foundation is a success because of you…our local donors, fundholders, and community members.
Almost 65 years ago, local financial leaders intentionally created the FM Area Foundation to help donors support our region, and today we are stronger than ever. So, no…not luck…but the will and hard work of our community to invest in giving back to make an impact.
